NKDC Chief Executive, Ian Fytche and Council Leader, Cllr Richard Wright will be leading the event.

Councillor Richard Wright, will talk about Lafford Homes’ first development in North Hykeham, investments in LN6 and the support for businesses in the area as well as the investments being made in the North Kesteven economy generally, aiming to encourage business growth and jobs creation.

Bio for Chief Executive, Ian Fytche
Ian Fytche is Chief Executive of North Kesteven District Council. North Kesteven in Lincolnshire is a large rural area, characterised by significant population growth. The Council has made impressive progress in relation to community leadership, economic development and regeneration. The Council is a leading investor in social housing, and has won awards for the design and sustainability of its housing projects. North Kesteven is also a leader in leisure development, modernising its sports centres to deliver a more commercial product delivering higher levels of physical activity and better health outcomes.
Ian has a strong track record in partnership development, having co-ordinated the Lincolnshire Improvement and Efficiency Partnership, delivering efficiency savings of £20 million. He currently leads the Central Lincolnshire Partnership, focused on Local Plan preparation, economic development, housing strategy and infrastructure provision.
Prior to joining North Kesteven, Ian was Director of Operations and Performance at Sport England, where he led for the organisation on the Commonwealth Games in Manchester, the redevelopment of Wembley Stadium, the development of strategy for sport in England, and a range of other high profile, complex projects. Ian has a background in project and programme management in central and local government settings, and in the construction industry.
Ian is married to Jennie, and they have two children. He is Chairman of a local secondary school Academy Trust and a regular contributor to leadership development programmes in the leisure and charity sectors. He is a keen sports fan and a long suffering supporter of Peterborough United.
Bio for  Council Leader, Cllr Richard Wright
Cllr Wright has represented his home ward of Ruskington since May 2007 and served on the Council’s Executive Board over the past six years, with special responsibility for enforcement, waste management, licencing, sustainability and related matters before becoming Leader of the Council in March 2017.
He has also served on the Central Lincolnshire Joint Strategic Planning Committee which he is currently Chairman of, mapping out the local development framework for North Kesteven, Lincoln and West Lindsey through to 2036.
He has played a strong role in the development of the Council’s strong vision, financial resilience and forward plan and is committed to building on the Council’s substantial achievements and strengthening successful partnerships to deliver Flourishing Communities.
Cllr Wright has extensive experience working in public service for the RAF, Ministry of Defence, Probation Service and Community Rehabilitation Company and invests significant time and energy in support of his local.
